2022 Camp Rising Sun

Camp Rising Sun is a part of the 22,000 acre Lake Ozark State Park, owned by the State of Missouri and administered by the Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks.  Since the summer of 1945, the Missouri FFA Association has used Camp Rising Sun.  All permanent physical improvements made at Camp Rising Sun must be approved by the Department of Natural Resources and become property of the State of Missouri.  Camp Rising Sun features electricity in all buildings and adequate fresh water supply and sanitation facilities. 

The FFA Leadership Camp program is filled with education, recreation and entertainment.  The educational portion consists of FFA Leadership training designed to meet the needs of all members, greenhands, chapter FFA degrees, chapter officers, and area officers.  State FFA officers assist with all leadership training sessions.  Recreation time may be spent with swimming, boating, fishing, badminton, trap shooting, shuffleboard, horseshoes, archery, and volleyball.  The Missouri Department of Conservation also provides specialists who lead sessions on nature lore and wildlife programs.  A dance on the volleyball court, as well as an evening trip to the Main Street Opry, are highlights of the weekly camp.  Vespers services are held each week as well. 

Students in grades 9-11 are eligible.

Must have FFA Dues Paid. 

Important Information:

•  Cost is $150 (includes 11 meals, housing, music show, dance, trap shooting, archery, swimming, boating and many other leadership activities) 
•  Must have a $75 down payment to reserve your spot by January 11, 2022. 
•  Remainder of the fee will be collected by February 28, 2022.
•  We will be offering an opportunity to fundraise for the cost of camp.  Blue & Gold Meat Products in February 2022.
• Failure to make the second payment will cancel your reservation and your 1st payment will be reimbursed

Camp is Monday through Friday. The actual week we will be attending is unknown at this time,  however, our choices are below.

•  June 6-10
•  June 13-17
•  June 20-24
•  June 27 - July 1
•  July 4-8
•  July 11-15 (Jasper County Fair week)
